Technology

Summer Interns on our Digital Technology team are provided a dynamic 12-week experience, combining hands-on projects with opportunities to grow as technology professionals. Roles can focus on Cybersecurity, Application Development, Data Analytics, Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering, and more.

Internships in
Commercial

United’s Commercial team drives revenue growth, optimizing sales strategies and managing market positions. Internships in Sales, Network Planning, Pricing & Revenue Management, MileagePlus & Loyalty, and Cargo offer opportunities to work on projects that help maximize our profitability, customer experience, and competitive advantage.

Finance

Finance interns play a key role in supporting our airline’s success through meaningful projects and working with leadership. Students develop leadership skills and gain experience of what it’s like to work on United's Financial Planning & Analysis team. 

Co-Ops in Technical
Operations

As a Co-Op, you’ll spend 5-6 months working with our Tech Ops professionals on impactful engineering projects while gaining insights into the aviation industry. Tech Ops Co-Ops work on projects throughout the system that may emphasize Line & Base Engineering, Interiors Engineering, Avionics, Powerplant Engineering, Structures Engineering, Digital Fleet Management, and more.

No. Students that require U.S. visa sponsorship, now or in the future, are not eligible for United internships. 

Yes. You’ll need to send us the documents required by your school/university, so that you receive credit. 

We do not restrict the number of roles you can apply for but we advise applying for no more than 5 roles that align with your interests and career goals. 

No. Housing isn’t provided, but if you’re eligible for relocation a recruiter will let you know in your internship offer. 

Most roles are in Chicago. However, some roles require you to be based at other hubs. Be sure to thoroughly read the job description, it will list the location for each role.  

Summer internships are 12 weeks. Co-Op internships are 5-6 months long.
