Job overview and responsibilities

The Worldwide Sales Strategy - Manager will be responsible for leading in the design and delivery of the worldwide sales strategy. This will include worldwide portfolio sales channel and product analysis, identifying and optimizing United's growth opportunities and strategic position. The manager has a requirement to directly support Executive level Sales leadership with their strategy needs, including presenting their findings and recommendations. The Manager will develop portfolio management strategies for specific customer/product portfolios, including: targeting criteria, market eligibility criteria, performance management actions, pricing methodologies based on in-market sales response, offering costs, and overall airline economics value. Determines potential sales response based on extensive qualitative and quantitative customer analysis research of the B2B marketplace. Builds and presents complex analyses, concepts and recommendations to a variety of audiences across organization, senior sales management and field sales. Maintains and communicates expert knowledge of competitive offerings and evolving trends in the market. Monitors and analyzes sales product performance and account performance to identify trends, opportunities for improvement. Deliver high quality performance reviews, establish aggressive but reasonable goals, and consistently monitor goal achievement. Works closely with Product Managers, Pricing Analysts and other Channel Associates and key stakeholder groups within United to ensure United is holistically well-positioned in the marketplace.

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Channel analysis, business strategy formulation, portfolio management 
  • 3+ years in analytically oriented job,
  • Data analytics and reporting experience
  • Experience with data visualization tools (ie.excel, tableau, spotfire)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Airline, marketing or revenue management experience
  • SQL or SAS experience
  • Brio, Hyperion, Access experience
