Job overview and responsibilities

The Associate Analyst, Profitability Reporting, supports the analysis and production facets of United’s Flight Profitability System (FPS). In order to do so, the Analyst goes through extensive and creative financial analysis that encompasses a wide range of topics and issues. The Analyst will need to take both macro and micro level approaches to be successful.

  • Gather and validate data for inclusion into activity-based costing system
  • Formulate and maintain models to evaluate operational & business strategies at a flight level
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis on initiatives impacting United’s network
  • Support business aspects of Profitability Analysis through operational analysis
  • Analyze strategic changes and historical results to determine impact on flight profitability & key statistical metrics
  • Analyze a wide variety of ad hoc issues for Senior leadership
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.


 

 

Required 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint 
  • 1 year experience in finance or a relevant related field
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Degree preferably in Finance
  • Hyperion Planning
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and financial statements
  • Organized, detail-oriented, thorough and professional 
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a focus on business issues
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to take charge and drive initiatives
