Senior Manager - Employee Assistance Program

 

Overview

EAP Senior Managers will (1) directly responsible for managing the day to day EAP clinical case management and consultative direction and support to the Regional EAP Managers and staff; (2)provide EAP direct clinical services, including maintaining the EAP database; (3) provide organizational, behavioral health expertise to management, HR business partners, union peer groups through consultation and training; (4) assist in /facilitating  United HIMS program, workplace violence situations, from a behavioral perspective, Last Chance Agreements, Fitness for Duty evaluations, critical incidents, SAP services and support the EAP Director as other duties are assigned.

 

Responsibilities

  • Clinical

    • Provide EAP clinical supervision/case consultation to EAP Regional Managers in the provision of specialized EA services (HIMS Pilot Monitoring Program, SAP services, Mandated or Last-Chance Agreements, Fitness for Duty Evaluations (behavioral health) partnering with management, HR, LR, Union for ongoing monitoring, crisis management/threat assessment, CISD services

    • Responsible for daily operations for specific EAP region, including but not limited to client management, statistics reporting, confidential file maintenance, provide direct clinical services reduced clinical case load and other duties as assigned

  • Organizational Consultation/Marketing

    • Provides support to Organization re: consults by divisional partnering with supervisors/managers/upper management/union representatives via telephone, in-person follow-up, station visits, e-mail, corporate/union trainings and/or EAP orientation

    • Supervisory training, alcohol/drug management trainings, benefit fairs, and coaching

    • Responsible for daily operations for specfic EAP region, including but not limited to client management, statistics reporting, confidential file maintenance and other duties as assigned

  • Data/Record Management

    • Maintaining the EAP database, liaison with external database vendor, developing training, reviewing and analyzing EAP data, statistical reporting

    • Will conduct file reviews with Regional EAP Managers to ensure files are in compliance with DOT/FAA compliance and EAP policy

Education
  • Masters in Behavioral Health studies required

Certification/Liscensure

  • CEAP/SAP required

  • State of Residence licensure as a Mental Health professional, (LPC/LCSW/LMFT), preferred

Knowledge/Skills

  • Comprehensive EAP knowledge

  • Broad-brush mental health/substance experience

  • Training/presentation skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle 24/7 on-call crisis intervention responsibility

  • CISD formal training

  • Organizational consultation skills

  • 30-35% travel 

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years EAP experience post Masters required

  • 4-5 years’ experience with hands-on substance abuse treatment required

  • Experience working with Behavioral Health Benefit Carve out/case management required

  • CISD trained required

  • Minimum of 5 years in internal EAP program experience in a transportation setting preferred

Other

  • Administrative/management experience including supervision of staff, managed care carve-out MH/SA insurance benefits, planning and development of all aspects of EAP programming

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with United's policies is required

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
