Overview
The position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources Field Generalists team in meeting and assisting strategic business objectives and project management responsibilities. Design and analyze key workforce analytics and business performance metrics: use Business Intelligence tools to gather data, performance tracking, and variance analysis and identify new opportunities; provide ad-hoc analysis; development and implementation of standardized reports and dashboards. This individual will also be responsible for project management / technology / report and presentation generation / HR / ER for divisions we support. Engages in supporting project teams in value added activities that generate practical solutions to complex business problems, explores new business alternatives, and drives improvement in business decisions. This role will also oversee various division wide initiatives and other related duties such as Vacation Buy and Holiday Deferred programs as well as cross divisional special initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Develops the approach and methods to define and solve management problems through quantitative analysis and analytical models, using operations research, statistics, forecasting techniques and structured programming languages
  • Gathers accurate information through the use of various Business Intelligence tools from a variety of source systems to surface and solve workforce and/or performance issues and gaps
  • The position will develop and maintain standardized workforce reports and dashboards
  • Project Management/Technology/Presentation Support; Will provide cross divisional HR support and functions related to project management , technology applications, as required
  • Partner with and provide HR guidance and support to leadership in various corporate and divisional objectives including but not limited to, workforce planning and development, organizational development and performance, rewards ad recognition strategies, diversity, employee relations and succession planning
  • This position will be responsible for implementation of HR Corporate initiatives, as well assisting in maintaining compliance with our collective bargaining agreements
  • Leverages understanding of the business process to identify and implement solutions that will result in significant bottom-line contributions
  • Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for business owners needing to use data to make business decisions
  • Provides on-going analytical services to internal and client organizations
  • Communicates results to management and clients
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • MBA in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Decision Science, Materials Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or Human Capital Analytics preferred
Knowledge/Skills
 
Required
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Office
  • Coursework or work experience with mathematical programming or probability/ forecasting techniques
  • Good business, technical, verbal/written communication, presentation skills
  • Adaptability to changing business environment. Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with clients
  • SQL knowledge      

 

Preferred

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
  • Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations relating to HR
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of United/Industry data sources
Experience
 
Required
  • 2+ years experience in related business functions such as HR Technology and / or Finance 
  • Data visualization experience utilizing Spotfire or other similar tools 
  • Presentation experience to groups of 5 or more

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
