The Food Services department develops, creates and provides the great dining experiences on board our aircraft.
 
 
Job overview and responsibilities
 
Serve as Senior Leader managing key functional departments and overseeing entire HUB kitchen operation. Works closely with Director ensuring overall performance success. Responsible for financial, operational, safety, quality and regulatory performance. Manages staff, resources, schedules and performance issues.
  • Responsible for kitchen quality, productivity, overall performance, food safety compliance, regulatory compliance and departmental safety programs while on duty
  • Supervises department managers, supervisors and employees. Responsibilities include employee scheduling, attendance, discipline, payroll, interviewing, accident investigation and safety awareness
  • Participate as a key member of the kitchen leadership team to ensure corporate and local policy and procedures are implemented and maintained
  • Manage assigned functional departments, coordinate production schedules with all departments to meet overall operational needs of the kitchen
  • Establish department goals and objectives to support kitchen and corporate initiatives
  • Participate with kitchen and corporate resources to implement Lean processes and objectives into the production process

Required
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Understands comprehensively HACCP, GMPs, FDA and other Compliance Regulations as it relates to Food Safety Standards
  • Understands comprehensively OSHA standards and other Compliance Regulations as it relates to Safety Compliance
  • Provides cross training and skill development for Supervisors, Leaders and hourly employees
  •  Ability to work in a high paced environment and in temperature controlled (cold) production areas
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of management within organization, employees and outside suppliers
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong computer skills including use of email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English
  • 5 -7 years in Catering / Food Services and/or Airport Operations
  • 2-5 years in progressive leadership positions
  • Ability to work various shifts within a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have valid active driver's license
  • Attendance is required at work location. (Please note, this may not be applicable to positions where in fact someone can telecommute. Inclusion of this requirement should be evaluated on a case by case basis.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of catering and/or airport operations
  • Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience
